If you’ve ever practiced yoga using a towel to cover your mat, you’ve probably had to fix the towel multiple times throughout the class or practice as it moves around on you.   The majority of mat towels available today simply cover your mat, laying flat on the surface.  As you move from one asana or position to another the corners or edges of the mat towel may be pulled one way or another.  We’ve all tried to quickly rearrange the towel and catching up to the rest of the class, instructor, or DVD and the towel just never sits right after that…unless you completely stop, leave the mat and fix it.  Let’s face it no one wants to do that.

Three cheers for NamaSTAY!

My friend Cory and I visited the hot room tonight completely ready for some yoga (TLC) time. I brought the beautiful NamaSTAY Mat Towel with me to use as a skidless surface for the demanding flow of Vinyasa yoga. Let me be blunt: this mat completely deserves 5/5 stars, it never moved out of place once and totally kept me grounded throughout the entire practice.  My favorite part of this stylish mat towel is how soft the fabric is. Whenever I took child’s pose it felt like I was resting my head on a bed of clouds- heavenly after a series of high-to-low push-ups :p

I also loved the Om symbol embroidered on the base of the towel so while you’re hanging out in downward facing dog or setting up for pigeon pose, that little symbol was a constant reminder to be present, still, and true. (It also made me smile and helped me relax through transitioning poses.)  All in all NamaSTAY Mat Towels provide a truly skidless foundation for even the most intense yoga class, but the soft fabric provides a gentleness that makes this mat towel unlike any other competitor.
