Infinity Strap

Infinite uses for the Infinity Strap

Black Dog Asana Approved

Whether you practice at home or in a studio there is only so much we can try to do to make sure that we are practicing correctly – especially if we don’t have a wall to wall mirror.  Even when we think we’re perfectly aligned, we could still sometimes use a little bit of correction.  Or how about stability?  A block sometimes isn’t the best way to enhance stability when your arms are up in the air, although we do recognize that this does work for some students. Or sometimes we lose our focus during practice or focus on one thing and miss out on another part of our practice.  Take the simple asana Downward Facing Dog.  Many of us are more worried about where our feet are positioned or whether our legs are stretching than thinking about where our hands are placed.

Where are we going with all of this?  We found an awesome new product that revolutionizes the way you think about and attain proper alignment, increase flexibility and overall use of a yoga strap.  It’s called the Infinity Strap.  Shaped like the infinity symbol this strap is extremely versatile.  There are at least three different ways to grip this strap during any asana and aids anyone from the barely flexible to the super limber get deeper into their stretches.  Just one practice using an infinity strap will have you sold, and you’ll be going back for all of the different sizes as well.  Helpful videos on the Infinity Strap’s website provide great advice and instruction on how to use this innovative strap.

In yoga there used to be a “One Strap Fits All” mentality.  Now Infinity Strap has stepped up to the mat and created a versatile strap in different sizes so that it eliminates the unwanted excess strap that can often get in the way of your focus and practice rather than enhance it.   You’ll be amazed at how much deeper you can go in different asanas when using this strap.  In our mind there is one test – the side angle forward bend – where your arms are extended behind you opening your shoulders.  Get yourself an Infinity strap.  Try the pose without it.  Then try it with the aid of the Infinity Strap.  You will be blown away.  You’ll also be comforted by the fact that this simple but ingenious strap will also offer stability and proper alignment in your practice.
