Black Dog Asana, Explained
One of the most profound teachers in my life is my Black Labrador Retriever, Murphy. On a daily basis Murphy shows me how to love purely, forgive readily, experience joy profoundly, and much, much more. The first thing he does in the morning while climbing out of our bed (after either jumping on me or washing my face with his kisses of course), through out the day and before going up to bed is Downward Facing Dog. So I have dubbed it the Black Dog Asana both after what he teaches me and the way he practices his yoga in his own unique way. We all have different teachers that we are blessed with in our lives, yoga gives us the gift to recognize them in this role and accept their lessons. Everyday Murphy teaches me how to live life and love compassionately.
Meet the Owner
My name is Maggie Franz. Black Dog Asana is my baby. It was created so that I could share my experiences through yoga with you. Recently I have become a yoga teacher. Currently I am teaching a few classes at a few different locations near my home. It hasn’t been easy starting out. But it has been completely worth it. Teaching yoga has so far been the experience of a lifetime and I can’t see that changing any time soon. This is an extremely rewarding job. The interpersonal relationships that I am beginning to form are wonderful and heart warming. Yoga is teaching me so much everyday. Getting to share that with all of you is just as rewarding. I so thankful that I can share what I learn, what I discover and what I experience. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you.
