For years I have been searching high and low for the right type of facial cleanser and toner. As a skier and biker and someone is generally outside a lot I tend to get dry and reddish colored skin on my face and nothing has been able to really even it out to my satisfaction. Like searching for the right man, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find the right one… so too must you try a lot of different products before you find the right one for your unique skin. While I haven’t figured out the right man part – I have found the cleanser that is perfect for me. Searching for a natural option one day I came across a curious line of products from one of the retailers I was looking into. Not only was I able to find a facial cleanser that suited my needs, but a natural toner as well. I got to try their eye oil and cold comfort crystals as well. I have to say that I am very impressed that all of the products that I have tried from Brittanie’s Thyme worked wonderfully.
Let’s start with the cleanser and toner as that is what I was primarily searching for. I tried it out at the sink when it arrived to see whether it would replace what I was using. There are certain sensations you expect to feel after scrubbing your face – clean and refreshed are two of them. But what I did not expect to feel was skin that was no longer dry or irritated after the first use. So I turned then to the cleanser. It was like going out for the second date after the first one went really well. The cleanser did not disappoint. Leaving my face with a cool and refreshed feeling there was no waft of alcohol or sting or burn. Rather, the Brittanie’s Thyme Cleanser only left a faint refreshing scent along with the feeling that you were taking care of your skin. Just as my luck would have it I was also battling with an enormous pimple on the bridge of my nose. Luckily I do not get many but when I do they are under the skin, enormous, and really hard to get rid of. After a week of using this cleanser and toner – the pimple was gone with out a trace! I was amazed.
So I mentioned this product called eye oil. When I saw it on the website I was intrigued – what is it? What does it do? The directions are simple apply once or twice daily for moisturized, refreshed eyes. I thought “Yes please!”. The little bottle arrived with all of the others and I was excited to try it. Although I was a little nervous as well – my eyes are really sensitive and I was not quite sure how it would end. It ended, about as well as a good romance novel. It was awesome. All day long my eyes felt lifted and refreshed. As a yoga instructor, I can have some pretty early, or long days and after a while the skin around my eyes and eye lids themselves can feel a bit heavy. Not with the Brittanie’s Thyme Eye Oil. Then there were the Cold Comfort Crystals. These I had to try. Along with my allergies there have been a few colds, sinus infections and more being handed around my family. As soon as I felt my sinuses starting to protest and my nose start to stuff I grabbed the container, gave it a little shake and placed it by my bed as I read a book. After a little while the soothing aromatherapy from the crystals began to ease and sooth my sinuses – I am sold. While nothing can cure the common cold – these little crystals make it a lot easier to deal with!
